R. I. P.  BRIAN BELFRY

It is with profound sadness that we report the passing of Brian Belfry, former CHOO morning man and multi-talented voice artist.

He passed away of natural causes sometime during this most recent weekend, June 6-7th, 2015.

He was 71.

In addition to his many years at CHOO, Brian did numerous voices for various animated cartoon shows, on commercials aired on CKO and CJCL, at CITY-TV and elsewhere.

His ability to lift the words off a page were legendary. His was a natural gift as was his sense of fun. You never felt too sad for too long when you talked with Brian.

The main CHOO site has numerous photos of Brian from our various reunion lunches.

I had hoped Brian would write up his memories of CHOO for this site. He promised me that he would but somehow never got around to it.

Sadly now those memories are forever lost to us.

Our own memories of Brian will live on as long as any of us who had the pleasure of working with him draws breath.

A short private gathering will be held in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday, June 12th, 2015 at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West from 10 to 11 am.

Rest In Peace, Brian. Thank you for all the fun radio, great laughs and many, many smiles along the many, many miles.
